This part of the municipality is moderately conducive to pedestrians; many daily needs can be met without a car, and a variety of businesses are fairly close at hand. Riding a bike is reasonably prevalent in North Star as the bicycling network is very extensive. Public transit riders may have limited choices in North Star due to the infrequent service. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines, and it is very convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most houses. In contrast, cars are a great transportation option in this part of Anchorage.
