In contrast, residents using public transit may find very limited choices in North Stamford by reason of the low service level. Nevertheless, property owners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most homes. It is challenging to travel by bike in this neighborhood because the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive, and riding is rendered arduous by the typically hilly topography. North Stamford is also not very conducive to pedestrians as very few daily needs can be carried out without a car.

High schools and primary schools are not plentiful in North Stamford, and therefore tend to require a very long trip to get to. Locals have the option of public and private schools at both the elementary and secondary school level. With respect to food, it is rarely an option for property owners in North Stamford to access one of about 10 grocery stores without needing a car.
