Driving is usually the best approach to move around in this area. The majority of houses for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, such as I-91, and it is very easy to find a parking spot. On the other hand, the transit system in North Haven is rather poor. Nevertheless, the town is served by approximately 10 bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. There are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of North Haven, although many daily errands can be run without a vehicle. The bike is a rather poor mode of transportation in this area because the cycling network is not very well-developed, and there are a good number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave.
Services
Primary schools are convenient to access as a pedestrian from most properties for sale in North Haven. However, high schools are not particularly numerous and thus not always within a short distance. Besides public schools, there are private elementary and high schools. In terms of eating, in all but a limited number of cases, a vehicle is needed in North Haven to access one of around 20 grocery stores. Nevertheless, it is generally a reasonably short pedestrian trip to the closest pharmacy, which can provide some staple foods. There are also a few options for those who appreciate restaurants and cafes in close proximity.
