Cars are an excellent transportation option in this part of the Knoxville metropolitan area. Nearby highways, such as I-40, are reasonably easy to reach from any home in Midtown, and it is easy to park. The bicycle is a rather poor method of transportation in this community since cyclists are faced with quite a few hills, and the cycling infrastructure is not very well-developed. Midtown is also not very well-suited for pedestrians as very few daily needs can be met without a car.

Services

A vehicle is usually required in this community to access the closest supermarket. Residents benefit from around 10 restaurants and cafes as well. Concerning education, primary schools are convenient to reach without a car from any location in this part of the Knoxville metropolitan area. However, high schools are not abundant and consequently tend to require a very long distance to get to.

Character

The character of Midtown is exemplified by its slower-paced ambience. Midtown is reasonably quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - although there are still several louder sections, especially closer to I-40.
