This community is particularly car friendly. It is a short car ride to the closest highway from any home in this community, and accessing a place to park is quite easy. However, commuting by public transit is very difficult in this community. Nevertheless, house owners can depend on the Lakewood Station on the Seattle - Tacoma/Lakewood. The community is served by about 10 bus lines, and bus stops are typically relatively close by. It is impractical for pedestrians to navigate this community since very few day-to-day errands can be run without a vehicle. Bicycling is also sometimes difficult in McChord AFB as the topography is not especially flat, and there are few bike lanes. Thankfully, there is a high density of cyclists.

Services

High schools and primary schools are not plentiful in McChord AFB, and thus may require a very long pedestrian trip to get to. Locals can choose between public and private schools at both the elementary and secondary school level. With regards to eating, a grocery store is generally reachable within an extended pedestrian trip from any location in McChord AFB.
