Lynn offers a calm and inviting environment with low traffic noise contributing to a peaceful atmosphere. The neighborhood features a range of housing types, including duplexes, single detached residences, and both large and small apartment buildings. Convenient access to over 30 grocery stores and more than 100 restaurants and cafes provides plenty of dining and shopping options. Numerous public and private primary and secondary schools are easily reachable from most addresses. Outdoor leisure is enhanced by over 50 nearby parks such as Gallagher Playground and Fraser Field. Bicycling infrastructure supports easy mobility, and public transit connections include ample bus lines and convenient commuter rail access.
Lynn is bicycling-friendly. Lynn is also moderately well-suited for pedestrians; most daily needs are easy to carry out without a car, and many businesses are close by. Lynn is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, there is the Lynn Interim, Swampscott and River Works on the Newburyport/Rockport Line. There are around 10 bus lines passing through the city, and the closest bus stop is generally very close by. Lynn is also not particularly car friendly since it is occasionally difficult to access a place to park.
Both primary and secondary schools are very easy to access without the use of a vehicle from most properties for sale in this part of the Greater Boston metropolitan area. Home buyers benefit from public and private schools at both the elementary and secondary school level. With respect to food, a vehicle is typically needed in this part of the Greater Boston metropolitan area to reach one of approximately 40 grocery stores. Nonetheless, it is generally a short trip to the closest pharmacy, which can supply some staple foods. There are also a few options for those who value restaurants in close proximity.
People who prefer a slower-paced environment will enjoy Lynn. There are over 100 green spaces nearby for residents to discover, like Lynn Woods Reservation and Camp Lion, which makes it very easy to get to them. This city is also fairly good for those who enjoy quiet areas, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic - however some parts can be quite noisy, especially closer to one of the railway lines.
