Getting around by public transit is easy in Linwood owing to Marcus Hook on the Wilmington / Newark Line and Wilmington/Newark Line, and a few nearby bus lines. However, Linwood is not very amenable to cycling since there are few bike lanes, and there are a fair number of elevation changes. Traveling as a pedestrian is not very popular in Linwood, despite the fact that many day-to-day needs can be met without the use of a car. However, Linwood is especially car friendly. It is easy to find a parking spot, and the majority of houses for sale are a short drive from the closest highway.

It is a short trip to get to primary schools from most homes for sale in this community. In contrast, it can be challenging to reach high schools as a pedestrian. Concerning food, a supermarket is usually accessible within a short distance from most properties for sale in Linwood. In addition, this community is a fairly good place in which to eat out, and a small selection of coffee shops is available as well.

Character

Linwood is unique in that it has both vibrant and quiet areas, making it appealing to more people. Even though the atmosphere is not the liveliest in this community with the nightlife venues in nearby communities, it is very easy to find a place to grab a drink because they are generally located very close by. At the same time, this community is quiet, as the streets are quite calm. It is occasionally difficult to get to parks in the community since they aren't well-distributed. Still, there are around 10 parks nearby for residents to enjoy.
