Kingston
Kingston offers a peaceful atmosphere with low noise levels, providing a relaxing environment for residents. The borough features a diverse selection of housing options, including single detached homes, duplexes, townhouses, and lofts, catering to various preferences. Public green spaces are abundant, with approximately ten parks accessible within the area, promoting outdoor activities and connection with nature. Educational opportunities are well-served through nearby public and private schools at the elementary and high school levels. Numerous local businesses, supermarkets, restaurants, and cafes contribute to convenience and variety in everyday living, while the generally flat terrain supports ease of cycling throughout the borough.
Home buyers who value living in a compact area will be pleased with the fairly pedestrian-friendly character of Kingston; many day-to-day needs can be carried out without a vehicle, and various businesses are rather close at hand. Even though the topography is reasonably flat, Kingston is not especially appropriate for biking because the bicycling infrastructure is not particularly well-developed.
It is very easy to reach the closest grocery store as a pedestrian from most houses for sale in Kingston. In addition, a restaurant is generally just around the corner, and a small variety of cafes is available as well. It is also a reasonably short trip to a decent variety of clothing stores. When it comes to education, residents will find that wherever their home is situated in this borough, both primary and secondary schools are close by. Residents are served by public and private schools at both the elementary and high school level.
Kingston has a character that caters to a fairly diverse group of people. Although this area is not known for its vibrancy, it is very easy to find bars since they are well-distributed throughout the borough. Zerby Avenue in particular offers a broad selection of places to go out at night. Most areas in Kingston are reasonably quiet, as the streets are generally calm, although there are still several louder sections, especially near one of the railway lines. Getting to green spaces from most locations within the borough, such as Wilkes-Barre River Common and Kirby Park, is easy since there are approximately 40 of them close by for residents to visit.
