Getting around as a pedestrian is moderately practical for residents in Historic Hillside; running daily errands is convenient without a car, and there are also a fair number of businesses in proximity. In contrast, cycling is at times challenging in this area because there are quite a few elevation changes, and the bicycling network is not especially well-developed. Cars are a good transportation option in Historic Hillside. It is very easy to access a parking spot. However, commuting by public transit is difficult in this part of Santa Fe. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighborhood, and it is especially convenient to find a nearby bus stop from most houses.
Services
It is a rather short pedestrian trip to reach primary schools from most properties for sale in this neighborhood. In contrast, this part of the city does not contain any high schools. As far as food is concerned, a supermarket is ordinarily reachable within a reasonably short trip from anywhere in Historic Hillside. Furthermore, Historic Hillside is a fairly good place in which to eat out or go to a cafe. House buyers can find a large number of nearby clothing stores.
Character
Historic Hillside is appealing, as it has both vibrant and quiet areas. Although this part of Santa Fe is not known for its vibrancy, with its about 10 bars, there are options for nighttime activities. At the same time, this area is excellent for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamor.
