Nevertheless, there are about 10 bus lines passing through the community, and it is convenient to find a nearby bus stop from most properties. The bicycle is a rather poor mode of transportation in Hilo since the cycling network is not very well-developed. Thankfully, there are a limited number of slopes. Hilo is also not especially conducive to people who like to get around as pedestrians because running day-to-day errands is sometimes challenging without a vehicle.
