However, cycling is challenging in Heeia because bike riders are faced with a considerable amount of hills, and there are few bike lanes. Heeia is not an especially pleasant part of the Urban Honolulu metropolitan area for getting around by public transit. Thankfully, residents are served by a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually around the corner. In contrast, driving is a very good means of transportation in Heeia. Accessing a parking spot is quite easy, and it is a rather short car ride to the nearest highway from anywhere in this community.
Primary as well as high schools are straightforward to reach without a vehicle from any location in this part of the Urban Honolulu metropolitan area. Besides public schools, there are private elementary and high schools. When it comes to food, the nearest supermarket in this community is generally only a short distance away. Furthermore, Heeia is a good place in which to eat out, and a limited variety of cafes can be found as well.
Heeia is a very good community to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced ambience. This part of the Urban Honolulu metropolitan area is very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamor. Lastly, it is easy to reach green spaces from numerous locations within the community since there are approximately 10 of them nearby for residents to explore.
