Hawley is an extremely good part of Redding for moving around by car. It is especially convenient to come across a parking spot, and the majority of real estate listings are a short drive from the closest highway. In contrast, Hawley is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighborhood, and bus stops are generally very close by. Traveling by bicycle is occasionally challenging in Hawley as there are a fair number of slopes for cyclists to brave, and the cycling infrastructure is somewhat poor. Getting around as a pedestrian is also not very feasible for home buyers in Hawley as very few common errands can be run without a car.
