This neighborhood features an abundance of public green spaces, including George Rogers Park, which are conveniently close for relaxing and outdoor enjoyment. The housing stock predominantly consists of spacious single detached homes built around 1967, with options including three-bedroom and larger residences that contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. Easy access to primary and high schools is available from nearly every part of the neighborhood. While hilly terrain limits the cycling network, several bus routes provide reasonable connections, and parking accessibility is plentiful for residents.

The car is often the preferred method to move around in Hallinan. Accessing a place to park is generally easy. However, traveling by public transit is very hard in Hallinan. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighborhood, and it is straightforward to reach a nearby bus stop from most residences. It is occasionally challenging for pedestrians to move around in Hallinan because few daily errands can be run without a car. Hallinan is also not especially suited for biking as there are a limited number of bike lanes, and cyclists are faced with quite a few elevation changes.

Services

A grocery store is generally reachable within a reasonably short trip from any home in this neighborhood. Residents are served by about 10 restaurants and coffee shops as well. With respect to education, both primary and secondary schools are convenient to get to without a vehicle from any location in this neighborhood.

Character

Hallinan is a very good neighborhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. Green spaces, such as George Rogers Park, are especially well-located and there are about 20 of them nearby for residents to explore, which makes them easy to get to. Most areas in this part of Lake Oswego are very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamor.
