Cars are a great transportation option in Guilford Center. It is very convenient to park, and the majority of real estate listings are a short drive from the nearest highway, such as Governor John Davis Lodge Tpke. On the other hand, this part of the Greater New Haven metropolitan area is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, house owners benefit from the Guilford with access to the Shore Line East Train. The community is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most residences. There are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of this community, despite the fact that many common errands can be run without the use of a vehicle. Traveling by bicycle is also at times challenging in Guilford Center as the cycling network is rather limited, and there are a good number of slopes.

A supermarket is ordinarily accessible within a short distance from any location in this community. Furthermore, this community is a fairly good place in which to eat out, and a small number of coffee shops is available as well. In terms of education, it is a rather short distance to access both primary and secondary schools from any location in Guilford Center.
Character
Guilford Center is a community to buy a house in for those who prefer a laid-back environment. Since there are very few people out and about on the streets, Guilford Center is relatively quiet.
