Greendale offers a peaceful, slower-paced environment with low noise levels and nearby green spaces like Edgerton Park and Scout Lake Park for outdoor enjoyment. The village features predominantly single detached homes built around 1965, complemented by small apartment buildings and townhouses. Accessibility by car is excellent, with convenient highway connections and plentiful parking throughout the area. Several bus lines are accessible, providing options for public transit. Primary and secondary schools, including private options, are within easy reach. Local grocery stores and diverse restaurants add to the convenient amenities found in this welcoming village setting.
Driving is very often the preferred approach to navigate Greendale. Parking is quite easy, and it is a rather short car ride to the closest highway from any location in this part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. However, the public transit system in Greendale is not very convenient. Thankfully, property owners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are typically close by. This village is rather cycling-friendly. However, traveling as a pedestrian in Greendale is not very popular, despite the fact that many daily needs can be met without the use of a vehicle.
Both primary and secondary schools are convenient to access as a pedestrian from most properties for sale in Greendale. With respect to food, the closest supermarket in Greendale is generally only a reasonably short distance away. Moreover, those who like to dine in restaurants will have a good number of options, and a limited selection of cafes can be found as well.
