Driving is an excellent medium of transportation in Gold Canyon. It is very easy to come across a parking spot. Gold Canyon is not very conducive to biking as the cycling network is fairly poor, and the topography is not especially flat. Traveling as a pedestrian is also not very practical for house buyers in this community since very few daily errands can be run without the use of a car.

Home buyers in Gold Canyon usually have to rely on a vehicle to do their groceries. There are also a few choices for those who care about restaurants within a short distance. As far as education is concerned, there are only a very small number of primary schools in this community and accordingly they can be a very long pedestrian trip away. Additionally, Gold Canyon does not contain any high schools.

Gold Canyon is an excellent community to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm ambience. Gold Canyon is especially quiet overall, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic. Parks are distributed sporadically, which results in them being very difficult to reach from a lot of locations within this part of the Greater Phoenix metropolitan area. Still, there are a few public green spaces close by for residents to relax in, like Peralta Regional Park.
