Northwest Clackamas
Gladstone offers a tranquil environment with generally low traffic noise, making it an excellent place to find peace and quiet. The neighborhood provides easy access to about 20 restaurants and coffee shops, giving residents a variety of dining options close by. Multiple grocery stores are conveniently located nearby, ensuring daily essentials are within reach. Educational institutions, including public and private primary and secondary schools, are situated close to most residences, adding convenience. The area features around 10 parks for outdoor enjoyment, and the housing options include a mix of charming single detached homes and smaller apartment buildings, mostly built around the early 1970s.
Cars are a very good transportation option in Gladstone. The majority of real estate listings are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway, such as E Portland Freeway, and it is very easy to park. However, Gladstone is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, the city is served by about 10 bus lines, and bus stops are typically very close by. The bike is a somewhat poor method of transportation in Gladstone because bike riders are faced with a significant amount of elevation changes, and the cycling network is not particularly comprehensive. Getting around as a pedestrian is also not particularly convenient for property owners in Gladstone because most daily needs are at times challenging to carry out without a car.
Locals will welcome the proximity to primary as well as high schools, which are within a short distance from most, if not all, houses for sale in Gladstone. Along with public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools. Regarding eating, a supermarket is generally reachable within a short trip from anywhere in this part of the Portland metropolitan area. Moreover, Gladstone is a good place in which to go out to eat, and a limited number of cafes can be found as well.
Gladstone has a character that caters to a fairly diverse group of people. Although the ambience is not the liveliest in this city finding one of the approximately 10 bars is very easy because they are generally situated in very convenient locations. Most areas in Gladstone are very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamor. It is easy to access green spaces from the majority of locations in the city since there are over 50 of them nearby for residents to enjoy.
