The neighborhood provides quiet surroundings with low traffic noise, creating a tranquil environment. The car is very often the favored mode of transportation in Galena. Parking is easy. Getting around as a pedestrian is not very feasible for property owners in Galena since very few daily needs can be met without a vehicle. It is also difficult to commute by bike in this community because cyclists encounter quite a few elevation changes, and the cycling network is not very well-developed.

Services

High schools and primary schools are not especially plentiful in this part of the Reno metropolitan area, and thus not always within a short distance. Locals benefit from public and private schools at both the elementary and high school level. When it comes to food, some, but not all, property owners in this part of the Reno metropolitan area will reside within a short distance of the nearest supermarket. A limited number of restaurants and cafes can be found as well.

Character

Galena is a great community to buy a home in for those who prefer a calm environment. Most areas in Galena are very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamor. It is rather difficult to get to parks in the community since they are distributed sporadically. Still, there are approximately 30 parks close by for residents to unwind in.
