Parking availability in the area is very convenient, making vehicle access easy for most daily activities. The community includes a mix of single detached homes and row houses, with many properties featuring four or more bedrooms. Nearby parks provide opportunities to experience green spaces within the village. Residents benefit from a selection of local restaurants and several primary schools, contributing to a comfortable living environment. Although public transportation options exist, having a vehicle facilitates easy access to groceries and other essential services.

Driving is usually the favored approach to get around in this village. Finding a place to park is generally easy. On the other hand, the public transit service in Franklin is not very frequent. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines crossing the village, and bus stops are not especially far-removed from most houses. Franklin is not very appropriate for cycling because there are few bike lanes, and there are a good number of slopes for cyclists to brave. Many of the homes for sale in this village are located in places that are also not very well-suited for pedestrians since few common errands can be run without a car.

There are only a limited number of primary schools in Franklin and consequently they can be a long trip away. Likewise, this part of the Greater Detroit metropolitan area does not contain any high schools. Regarding eating, house buyers in Franklin typically have to turn to a vehicle to access the closest grocery store. Residents are served by over 50 restaurants and coffee shops as well.

Character

The character of Franklin is exemplified by its relaxed environment. Franklin is reasonably quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamor. The majority of locations within the village have fairly good access to parks, including Valley Woods Nature Preserve and Fairview Early Childhood Center (razed), since they aren't well-spread out. Despite that, there are about 10 green spaces close by for residents to enjoy.
