This neighborhood features predominantly single detached homes and townhouses, with much of the housing constructed before the 1960s, providing classic architectural charm. Dining options are plentiful, making it a favorable location for exploring varied culinary experiences. While cycling infrastructure is limited, the neighborhood’s layout supports reasonable ease for running common errands. Forest Hills’s combination of tranquility and accessibility makes it an inviting place to consider settling down.
Traveling as a pedestrian is moderately feasible for home buyers in this part of the city; many day-to-day needs can be met without a vehicle, and various businesses are reasonably close by. In contrast, biking is challenging in this area since there is a considerable amount of slopes, and the cycling infrastructure is fairly poor. Forest Hills is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, the neighborhood is served by a few bus lines, and it is very easy to reach a nearby bus stop from most houses. In contrast, the car is often the favored method to move around in Forest Hills. It is very easy to access a parking spot.
It is difficult to access the closest supermarket as a pedestrian in Forest Hills. Furthermore, this area is a good place in which to eat out or go to a cafe. It is also easy to get to a variety of clothing stores as a pedestrian. When it comes to education, there are no high schools and no primary schools in this part of the city.
Forest Hills is unique in that it contains both vibrant and quiet areas, making it appealing to more people. Even though this part of the city is not known for its vibrancy, with the bars in nearby neighborhoods, it is rather difficult to find a place to grab a drink as they are generally located quite far away. At the same time, this area is good for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic.
