The bike is a reasonably good means of transportation in Fircrest. This neighborhood is also a fairly pleasant part of Shoreline for pedestrians; many daily needs can be met without a car. Public transit riders may have limited options in Fircrest by reason of the low service level. Nonetheless, the neighborhood is served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are usually very close by. On the other hand, cars are an excellent means of transportation in this area. It is a reasonably short drive to the nearest highway from any home in Fircrest, and finding a place to park is quite easy.
Services
Property owners will appreciate the proximity to both primary and secondary schools, which are within a short distance from all homes for sale in Fircrest. In addition to public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools. With regards to food, the nearest grocery store in Fircrest is generally only a rather short distance away. In addition, those who like to dine in restaurants will have a good number of opportunities, and home buyers benefit from a few cafes as well.
Character
Fircrest has a character that appeals to a fairly diverse group of people. Even though the ambience is not the liveliest in this area with the bars in nearby neighborhoods, it is easy to find a place to grab a drink as they are generally located a short distance away. Most areas in Fircrest are very quiet, as there are low levels of noise from traffic. Getting to public green spaces in the neighborhood, such as Hamlin Park and Grace Cole Nature Park, is very easy since there are around 10 of them close by for residents to visit.
