Driving is a good transportation option in this part of South Portland. It is especially convenient to park. However, the public transit infrastructure in Ferry Village is not very accessible. Thankfully, the neighborhood is served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most homes. There are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of this neighborhood, although carrying out daily needs is convenient without the use of a vehicle. In contrast, Ferry Village is moderately bike-friendly since the cycling network is good.

Ferry Village is unique in that it has both vibrant and quiet areas, making it appealing to more people.
