Fairfield
Fairfield offers a peaceful environment with abundant green spaces such as Great Piece Meadows, providing excellent opportunities for outdoor activities. The township features mainly single detached homes and row houses built around 1968, offering spacious options with three or more bedrooms. Convenient access to nearby highways like I-80 makes commuting by car straightforward, while several bus routes connect different parts of the township. Education is well supported with numerous primary and private schools located close to residential areas. A selection of supermarkets, restaurants, and coffee shops adds convenience for daily needs, making this township an inviting place to settle.
Fairfield is an extraordinarily good area for moving around by car. It is very convenient to park, and most homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, such as I-80. However, commuting by public transit is very hard in this area. Nonetheless, there is the Wayne/Route 23 Transit Center [rr] on the Montclair-Boonton Line. Property owners benefit from around 10 bus lines, and the closest bus stop is typically relatively close by. It is at times difficult to move around by bicycle in Fairfield as the cycling infrastructure is quite bad. Nevertheless, there are a limited number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave. This area is also not very convenient for pedestrians since running daily errands is sometimes challenging without the need for a car.
In this township, locals will commonly be able to get to primary schools as pedestrians. In contrast, locals may find it very hard to reach high schools without a car. Besides public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools. As far as eating is concerned, house buyers in this area commonly have to turn to a vehicle to reach one of approximately 30 supermarkets. Nevertheless, pharmacies are typically convenient to get to without the need for a car and sell some basic food items. There are also over 150 restaurants and coffee shops in this township.
