Everest offers a diverse range of housing options, including single detached homes and apartment buildings built with quality since 1984. The neighborhood features several public green spaces, providing peaceful outdoor areas to explore nearby. Residents benefit from convenient access to supermarkets, as well as a selection of restaurants and coffee shops, making daily errands straightforward. This area supports easy travel by car, with highways and ample parking close at hand. Numerous bus lines serve the area although with moderate frequency. While the terrain is hilly, certain bike lanes are available, complementing the neighborhood’s calm, vibrant atmosphere framed by green surroundings.

This area is a fairly convenient part of Kirkland for pedestrians; running common errands is easy without needing to use a car. In contrast, Everest is not especially cycling-friendly since cyclists encounter a significant amount of elevation changes. Thankfully, the cycling network is fairly comprehensive. Cars are a great transportation option in this area. It is very easy to access a parking spot, and many real estate listings are a very short car ride from the closest highway. On the other hand, public transit riders may have few options in this neighborhood by reason of the service's low frequency. Thankfully, residents are served by about 10 bus lines, and it is very easy to get to a nearby bus stop from most homes.

Services

There are only a limited number of high schools and primary schools in Everest and therefore they can be an extended distance away. Besides public schools, there are private elementary and high schools. With respect to eating, it is convenient to reach the nearest supermarket without a car in Everest. In addition, there are a fair number of choices within a short distance for those who appreciate restaurants and cafes. It is also convenient to get to a selection of clothing stores without the need for a vehicle.

Character

Everest is a great part of the city for those who enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities. Although this area is not known for its vibrancy, with the bars in nearby neighborhoods, it is easy to find a place to grab a drink as they are generally located within a short distance. However, green spaces, like Everest Memorial Park and Taylor Field Sports Park, are especially well-spread out and there are approximately 20 of them close by for residents to check out, making them easy to access from many locations in the neighborhood.
