In contrast, moving around by bicycle is occasionally challenging in Esperance as the cycling network is rather poor, and there are quite a few elevation changes. The transit system in this community is not very practical. Nevertheless, there are approximately 10 bus lines crossing the community, and bus stops are typically around the corner. However, driving is a very good transportation option in this community. It is very convenient to park, and the majority of properties for sale are a rather short car ride from the nearest highway.

Home buyers in Esperance will welcome that a grocery store is always only a rather short trip away. Additionally, there is typically a restaurant or cafe just around the corner. With respect to education, locals will welcome that no matter where their home is located in this part of the Seattle metropolitan area, primary schools are nearby. However, there are only a few high schools and therefore they can be a rather long trip away. At the secondary level, both public and private schools can be found.

Esperance is a "jack-of-all-trades" when it comes to the feel of this part of the Seattle metropolitan area. Esperance is very good for those who enjoy quiet surroundings, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic. On the other hand, there are about 20 green spaces close by for residents to unwind in, such as Yost Park and Interurban Trail, and they are especially well-spread out, which makes them easy to reach from the majority of locations within Esperance. Finally, although the atmosphere is not the most lively in this part of the Seattle metropolitan area with its a few bars, there are options for nighttime activities.
