Driving is a fairly good transportation option in this community. It is very convenient to park. On the other hand, residents using public transit may experience limited options in Edgewater by reason of the infrequent service. Nevertheless, the community is connected by a few bus lines, and it is very easy to get to a nearby bus stop from most houses. Traveling as a pedestrian is not especially feasible for residents in Edgewater because few daily errands can be run without needing a vehicle. Cycling is also difficult in this community as there are few bike lanes, and there are a fair number of elevation changes.

Services

It is easy to access the nearest supermarket as a pedestrian from anywhere in Edgewater. Furthermore, a restaurant is often just around the corner, for instance on Pike Ridge Road, and home buyers benefit from a few cafes as well. With respect to education, in Edgewater, locals will often be able to reach primary schools as pedestrians. In contrast, it can be difficult to access high schools without a vehicle. In addition to public schools, there are private elementary and high schools.

There is a wide variety of green spaces in Edgewater. It is easy to reach parks from numerous locations within the community since there are around 10 of them nearby for residents to relax in. It is relatively serene in this part of the Greater Baltimore metropolitan area, thanks to the presence of very few people out and about on the streets.
