The favored means of transportation in Edgemere is very often driving. It is very convenient to find a parking spot, and nearby highways, such as Baltimore Beltway, are rather easy to access from anywhere in Edgemere. The bike is a sometimes poor means of transportation in Edgemere as the bicycling infrastructure is fairly poor. Nevertheless, there are a limited number of hills. This part of the Greater Baltimore metropolitan area is also not very conducive to pedestrians since meeting daily needs is challenging without the use of a car.

It is a reasonably short pedestrian trip to get to primary as well as high schools from any location in this part of the Greater Baltimore metropolitan area.
