Eddystone
Eddystone offers a peaceful borough with a laid-back atmosphere where quiet streets create a calm environment. The area features a variety of housing options, mainly townhouses and single detached homes built before 1960, with spacious layouts including three or more bedrooms. Transit connections by train and bus provide convenient transportation options for reaching surrounding areas. Daily needs are well-supported by several local businesses, a grocery store, and a modest selection of restaurants. While parks are not widely spread within the borough, nearby green spaces offer pleasant outdoor alternatives. This community combines classic housing with practical accessibility for residents.
Eddystone will appeal to home buyers that use several modes of transportation. Commuting by public transit is easy in Eddystone by reason of 3 train stations (for instance, Chester and Eddystone) with access to the Wilmington / Newark Line and Wilmington/Newark Line, and a few nearby bus lines. Eddystone will also draw home buyers who want to live in a compact community because it is reasonably geared to pedestrians; many daily errands can be run without a car, and various businesses are moderately close at hand. Eddystone is not very bike-friendly as the bicycling infrastructure is rather limited, and there are a fair number of slopes.
The closest grocery store in Eddystone is usually only a reasonably short pedestrian trip away. Likewise, this borough is a fairly good place in which to eat out, and residents benefit from a few cafes as well. In terms of education, in Eddystone, home owners will almost always be able to reach primary schools without a car. On the other hand, property buyers may find it very hard to reach high schools as pedestrians. Apart from public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools.
Those who enjoy a vibrant atmosphere will feel at home in Eddystone. Although the atmosphere is not the liveliest in this borough it is easy to find bars because they are well-distributed throughout the area. Due to the presence of few pedestrians, this borough remains relatively quiet; however there can be more noise for those who are near one of the railway lines. It is occasionally challenging to reach parks within the borough since they aren't well-situated. Still, there are about 10 green spaces nearby for residents to discover.
