Nearby highways, such as Yankee Expy, are moderately easy to reach from any location in this area, and it is very convenient to come across a place to park. On the other hand, the transit service in this part of the city is not very practical. Thankfully, house owners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most properties. Biking is challenging in this neighborhood since bicycle riders are faced with a significant amount of hills, and the cycling network is quite poor. Getting around as a pedestrian in this part of the city is also not very popular, despite the fact that many daily needs are easy to carry out without a vehicle.

Locals will welcome the proximity to primary schools, which are within a short distance from vast majority homes for sale in East Mountain. In contrast, it can be very difficult to reach high schools as a pedestrian. As far as food is concerned, house buyers in this part of Waterbury commonly have to use a car to access the nearest supermarket.
