East Lancaster is a very good part of Salem for getting around by car. Parking is easy, and most homes for sale are a rather short car ride from the nearest highway. On the other hand, the transit infrastructure in East Lancaster is fairly poor. Nonetheless, the neighborhood is connected by a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually very close by. Many of the houses for sale in this part of the city are located in places that are not especially suitable for pedestrians as few common errands can be run without the use of a vehicle. On the other hand, East Lancaster is moderately bike-friendly because there are a limited number of hills.
Services
It is frequently an option for house buyers in this neighborhood to buy their groceries as pedestrians. Lancaster Drive is among the best streets for groceries. In addition, a restaurant is usually just around the corner, and a limited number of coffee shops is available as well. When it comes to education, it is a reasonably short trip to get to both primary and secondary schools from most homes for sale in East Lancaster. House owners can choose between public and private secondary schools.

No matter what type of character home buyers prefer in a neighborhood, East Lancaster is a reasonably good option. East Lancaster is excellent for those who like quiet areas, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue. On the other hand, public green spaces are especially well-situated and there are approximately 10 of them close by for residents to check out, which results in them being easy to reach from the majority of locations within this neighborhood. Lastly, although the ambience is not the most lively in this part of the city with its a few nightlife venues, there are options for nighttime activities.
