Transportation
Driving is an excellent medium of transportation in this part of the Greater New Haven metropolitan area. Most homes for sale are a rather short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Governor John Davis Lodge Tpke, and it is very easy to access a place to park. In contrast, the public transit service in East Haven is not very frequent. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the community, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. East Haven is not especially suited for cycling as there are few bike lanes, and there are a fair number of hills for cyclists to brave. Traveling as a pedestrian in East Haven is also not very common, although most daily needs are easy to carry out without a car.
Services
It is easy to get to the closest supermarket as a pedestrian from anywhere in East Haven. Moreover, a restaurant is commonly just around the corner, for instance along Main Street, and residents benefit from a few cafes as well. In terms of education, primary schools are convenient to get to as a pedestrian from most properties for sale in this community. However, locals may find it very difficult to reach high schools as pedestrians. House buyers are served by public and private elementary schools.

East Haven is a community to buy a home in for those who prefer a laid-back environment. East Haven remains relatively quiet, as there are very few people out and about on the streets.
