East Hanover
East Hanover offers a tranquil living environment characterized by low noise levels and well-placed green spaces such as Sommers Park and others nearby. This township features a diverse range of single detached homes and townhouses built predominantly between the 1960s and 1980s, with many larger residences having four or more bedrooms. Convenient highways, including nearby I-280, provide efficient access to surrounding areas, complemented by ample parking options for residents. Local amenities include several restaurants and cafes within close proximity, primary schools nearby, and easy access to pharmacies and staple stores. The overall atmosphere is peaceful, making it an appealing place to settle.
The favored way to move around in this part of the Greater New York metropolitan area is very often a car. Parking is generally easy, and many homes for sale are a rather short car ride from the closest highway, such as I-280. East Hanover is not especially bicycling-friendly since the cycling infrastructure is fairly poor, and there are a good number of elevation changes. It is also difficult for pedestrians to move around in East Hanover as meeting daily needs is at times challenging without the use of a vehicle.
Property owners in East Hanover commonly have to use a car to travel to one of about 20 supermarkets. Nevertheless, reaching the nearest pharmacy and thus some basic food items is usually convenient. A restaurant is commonly just around the corner, for example along Ridgedale Avenue, and a small variety of coffee shops is available as well. As far as education is concerned, it is a reasonably short trip to reach primary schools from most properties for sale in East Hanover. On the other hand, high schools are not very plentiful and thus not always within a short distance. Along with public schools, there are private elementary and high schools.
East Hanover offers a calm ambience and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. Accessing public green spaces in the township, like Troy Meadows and Brendan P. Tevlin Fields, is very easy since there are about 40 of them close by for residents to check out.
