In contrast, bicycling is difficult in Downtown since there are a limited number of bike lanes, and there is a considerable amount of hills. Downtown is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, homeowners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most properties. However, cars are a very good transportation option in Downtown. It is straightforward to park, and most real estate listings are a short drive from the nearest highway.
It is usually possible for home buyers in Downtown to do groceries without a car. Furthermore, those who are fond of dining in restaurants or cafes will have a good number of opportunities in Downtown. It is also convenient to access a selection of clothing stores without a vehicle. Regarding education, secondary schools are easy to reach as a pedestrian from anywhere in Downtown. On the other hand, primary schools are not particularly numerous and therefore tend to require a long trip to get to.
Downtown is unique in that it contains both vibrant and quiet areas, making it appealing to more people. Even though this part of the city is not known for its lively atmosphere, places to go out at night are well-distributed throughout the area. At the same time, this neighborhood is quiet overall, as the streets are quite calm, although there are still several noisier sections, especially closer to the railway line.
