In contrast, commuting by public transit is very hard in Divide. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines crossing the community, and most properties are close to a bus stop. It is impractical for pedestrians to navigate this community since running common errands is inconvenient without a car. It is also challenging to commute by bike in this community because there are few bike lanes, and riding is made strenuous by the often hilly terrain.

There are only a very small number of primary schools in this community and consequently they can be a very long trip away. In addition, this part of the Colorado Springs metropolitan area does not contain any high schools.
