District 4 offers a tranquil neighborhood with a slower-paced atmosphere, creating a peaceful environment to live in. The majority of residences are charming single detached houses constructed primarily between the 1960s and 1980s, featuring mostly two- and three-bedroom layouts. Neighborhood education options include a variety of primary schools close by, as well as several private elementary and high schools. The area’s terrain is generally flat, making bicycle use easier despite limited cycling infrastructure. Parking is readily available, and driving is convenient for accessing local amenities, including supermarkets that are located within a reasonable distance.

District 4 is especially car friendly. It is very convenient to park. District 4 is not very suited for bicycling because the cycling infrastructure is quite bad. Nonetheless, the terrain is flat. A majority of the houses for sale in this district are located in places that are also not very conducive to pedestrians because running daily errands is difficult without a car.
Services
Primary schools are easy to get to as a pedestrian from anywhere in District 4. However, residents may find it very difficult to reach high schools as pedestrians. In addition to public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools. With regards to eating, buying one's groceries usually necessitates the use of a vehicle in this area. There are also a few opportunities for those who appreciate restaurants in close proximity.
Character
The character of District 4 is exemplified by its relaxed ambience. District 4 is quiet, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - although that is not the case close to one of the 2 airports (St Landry Parish-Ahart Field,Star Dusters), one of the railway lines or I-49.
