This district features mostly single detached homes with a selection of small apartment buildings, mainly constructed around 1969. Major highways such as US Hwy 49 are easily reachable, facilitating smooth commuting by vehicle. Transportation

Driving is usually the preferred method of transportation in District 3. It is very easy to park, and most houses for sale are a rather short drive from the nearest highway, such as US Hwy 49. In contrast, traveling by transit can be difficult in District 3 due to the service's low frequency. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines passing through the district, and bus stops are not very far from most properties. This district is not very convenient for pedestrians as few common errands can be run without the need to use a car. The bike is a fairly poor method of transportation in this area because the bicycling network is not very extensive, and there are a fair number of hills.

Services

House owners will welcome that no matter where their home is located in District 3, primary schools are nearby. On the other hand, high schools are not particularly abundant and thus may require a long pedestrian trip to get to. Locals have the choice between public and private schools at both the elementary and secondary school level. With regards to eating, the closest grocery store in District 3 is generally only an extended pedestrian trip away. Residents of District 3 are served by over 100 restaurants as well.

People who prefer a relaxed environment will enjoy District 3. Most areas in District 3 are very quiet, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue closer to the airport (Hawkins Field), the railway line, I-20 or I-220.
