District 3 offers a peaceful neighborhood atmosphere with predominantly single detached homes alongside spacious apartment buildings and mobile homes. Most residences feature two or three bedrooms, providing comfortable living spaces. The area benefits from generally flat terrain, making access easier throughout the district. Quiet surroundings prevail, with limited traffic noise contributing to a restful environment. Residents often find parking arrangements convenient and accessible. Although green spaces are limited, the overall calm setting makes the district a tranquil retreat. Its housing stock primarily dates from the late 1980s, offering well-established structures in a serene community setting.

This area is very car friendly. Accessing a place to park is generally easy. It is impractical for pedestrians to navigate District 3 because very few common errands can be run without a car. This area is also not very bicycling-friendly as this district is home to rather limited cycling infrastructure. Nonetheless, cyclists do not face significant hills.

Services

House buyers may consider it very difficult to reach high schools and primary schools as pedestrians. Property buyers are served by public and private elementary schools. Concerning eating, in all but a few cases, a vehicle is needed to do groceries. There are also around 20 restaurants in this area.

Character

The character of District 3 is exemplified by its relaxed ambience. District 3 is very good for those who like a quiet atmosphere, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamor - however some parts can be quite noisy, especially near one of the railway lines or one of the 2 airports (Richard'S,Acadiana Rgnl). It is very difficult to access green spaces in the district since they aren't well-distributed. Despite that, there are a few parks nearby for residents to unwind in.
