The community features a diverse array of housing options, including many single detached residences and small apartment buildings, mostly constructed around the late 1970s. Residents benefit from over 100 restaurants and coffee shops catering to diverse tastes, along with approximately 20 grocery stores nearby. Educational institutions, including both public and private schools, are conveniently located within a short distance. Well-distributed green spaces like Beaumont Park and -1 enhance the area’s natural appeal. Public bus routes serve many areas, and parking and highway access are especially convenient.

It is easy for pedestrians to move around in this part of the urban county; running common errands is convenient without a vehicle, and there are also a fair number of businesses close by. In contrast, bicycling is at times difficult in this community since there are a good number of elevation changes, and the bicycling network is not very well-developed. The favored method to move around in District 10 is very often a car. It is very convenient to find a place to park, and most homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway. On the other hand, the transit network in District 10 is not very convenient. Thankfully, property owners have access to a few bus lines, and bus stops are generally very close by.

The closest supermarket in this community is generally only a rather short distance away. Moreover, a restaurant is usually just around the corner, and a limited variety of coffee shops is available as well. As far as education is concerned, it is a rather short distance to reach both primary and secondary schools from anywhere in this part of the urban county. Apart from public schools, there are private elementary and high schools.

Character

The character of District 10 is exemplified by its relaxed atmosphere. Most areas in this part of Lexington-Fayette are very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamor. Lastly, it is easy to access parks from most locations within the community since there are approximately 30 of them close by for residents to relax in.
