Getting around by car is especially convenient in this area. Most real estate listings are a rather short car ride from the closest highway, such as James H Quillen Pkwy, and it is convenient to find a place to park. Although a few bike-friendly sectors can be found, traveling by bicycle is difficult in this area since the cycling network is fairly poor, and there is a considerable amount of hills. It is also impractical for pedestrians to get around in District 1 as meeting day-to-day needs is inconvenient without a car.
Services
It is a reasonably short pedestrian trip to reach both primary and secondary schools from any location in this district. With regards to food, getting to the nearest grocery store without a vehicle is an option for some, but not all, property owners in District 1. Residents of this area benefit from about 10 restaurants as well.
