Convenient parking options and close proximity to major highways like I-59 facilitate smooth car travel and easy connectivity. Pharmacies are also readily accessible, providing essential items within short driving distances for daily needs.

Transportation

Driving is very often the best method to move around in this area. Nearby highways, such as I-59, are rather easy to drive to from any home in this district, and it is convenient to park. Getting around as a pedestrian is not very convenient for house buyers in this area as few day-to-day errands can be run without a car. The bicycle is a fairly poor method of transportation in this district as the cycling network is rather limited. Nonetheless, cyclists do not encounter serious hills.

Services

Primary schools are easy to access as a pedestrian from anywhere in District 1. However, it can be difficult to reach high schools as a pedestrian. Besides public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools. As far as eating is concerned, getting to one of around 20 supermarkets as pedestrians is possible for some, but not all, house buyers in District 1. Residents can enjoy over 50 restaurants and cafes as well.

District 1 offers a calm atmosphere. Most areas in District 1 are quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic - although there are still several noisier sections, especially closer to I-59, the railway line or the airport (George Ford).
