Deweese is an extremely convenient township for traveling by car. The majority of real estate listings are a rather short car ride from the nearest highway, such as I-77, and parking is quite easy. In contrast, the public transit service in Deweese is not very frequent. Thankfully, homeowners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most residences. Deweese is not especially convenient for pedestrians as few daily needs can be carried out without needing a vehicle. The bike is a sometimes poor method of transportation in Deweese because riding is made strenuous by the often hilly area, and the bicycling infrastructure is rather limited.

It is easy to access the nearest grocery store as a pedestrian from any home in this township. Catawba Avenue is among the best streets for groceries. In contrast, locals may find it very hard to reach high schools without the need to get in a car. Apart from public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools.

Deweese is great for those who like quiet surroundings, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue. Parks are sparse, making it rather difficult to access them. Still, there are about 50 green spaces nearby for residents to unwind in, like Robert C. Bradford Regional Park and West Branch Nature Preserve.
