Deer Lake is an extremely good area for traveling by car. It is very convenient to access a place to park. Deer Lake is not very cycling-friendly because there are a fair number of hills, and there are very few bike lanes. Most houses for sale in this area are located in places that are also not very well-suited for those who prefer to travel as pedestrians as running common errands is nearly impossible without a vehicle.
This area does not have any high schools or primary schools. As far as eating is concerned, in all but a very small number of cases, a car is needed to do groceries.
