Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines crossing the town, and it is very convenient to get to a nearby bus stop from most properties. Dalton is not very well-suited for those who prefer to travel as pedestrians as many day-to-day needs are impractical to meet without a vehicle. Dalton is also not especially cycling-friendly since there is a considerable amount of elevation changes, and there are few bike lanes.
