The bike is a rather limited method of transportation in this community because cyclists are faced with quite a few elevation changes, and Crucible has quite poor bicycling infrastructure. Crucible is also not very conducive to those who prefer to travel as pedestrians as running daily errands is impractical without the use of a vehicle.

There are no high schools and no primary schools in this community. With respect to eating, a vehicle is generally required in Crucible to reach the closest supermarket.
