District 6
Crownsville is a peaceful community characterized by mostly single detached homes, built around 1987, that provide spacious living with three or more bedrooms. The area benefits from easy parking and convenient access to nearby highways, making travel by car straightforward. Quiet streets contribute to a tranquil atmosphere, offering a respite from the noise of busier areas. While the neighborhood itself does not feature many public green spaces, several parks are nearby, accessible for outdoor enjoyment. Shopping and errands are readily handled with vehicle access, supporting a comfortable and calm environment for residents seeking a serene community setting.
Driving is an excellent transportation option in Crownsville. Parking is easy, and many real estate listings are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway. This community is not very convenient for pedestrians since very few daily needs can be carried out without a vehicle. Cycling is also sometimes challenging in this part of the Greater Baltimore metropolitan area as the bicycling network is quite bad, and there are a good number of elevation changes.
High schools and primary schools are not numerous in Crownsville, and thus not always within a short distance. At the elementary level, both public and private schools can be found. As far as eating is concerned, in most, if not all, cases, a car is needed in Crownsville to access the nearest supermarket. There are a few options for those who appreciate restaurants in close proximity.
People who prefer a relaxed ambience will enjoy Crownsville. Crownsville is especially quiet overall, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue. Parks aren't well-situated, which makes them rather difficult to reach from a large number of locations in this part of the Greater Baltimore metropolitan area. Despite that, there are about 20 public green spaces close by for residents to unwind in, like Sahlin Forest Legacy Easement and Anne Arundel County Fair Site.
