Cross Point presents a peaceful environment with largely tranquil streets and a relaxed atmosphere. The neighborhood features a variety of housing options, including single detached homes, duplexes, and townhouses, many of which were built across different eras from before 1960 through the 2000s. Residents benefit from convenient access to a nearby grocery store to meet everyday needs. The area provides a reasonably comprehensive bicycle infrastructure, making cycling a viable option despite some elevation changes. Ample parking spaces make car use convenient throughout Cross Point, complemented by access to several bus lines that connect this neighborhood to broader locations.
The car is often the best approach to get around in this part of the city. Parking is generally easy. On the other hand, the transit network in this part of Lafayette is rather poor. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighborhood, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. Cross Point is not especially convenient for pedestrians as few daily errands can be run without needing a car. The bicycle is a somewhat poor method of transportation in this neighborhood since there are a good number of elevation changes. Nevertheless, there are a fair number of bike lanes.
A supermarket is ordinarily reachable within a rather short trip from any home in Cross Point. Likewise, those who like to eat in restaurants will have a fair number of options, and there are also a few coffee shops in this part of the city. In terms of education, primary schools are not especially abundant in Cross Point, and therefore often beyond a short distance, and there are no high schools. Residents can choose between public and private elementary schools.
