This part of the city is not very conducive to bicycling because there are quite a few elevation changes, and the cycling infrastructure is not very extensive. Cross Creek is also not especially convenient for pedestrians as few daily errands can be run without needing a car.

Cross Creek does not contain any high schools or primary schools. With regards to food, home buyers in this part of the city will welcome that a grocery store is always only a very long distance away. Additionally, Cross Creek is a fairly good place in which to eat out, and a limited variety of coffee shops can be found as well.

One of the unique aspects of Cross Creek is that it contains both vibrant and quiet areas. Even though this area is not known for its vibrancy, with the nightlife venues in nearby neighborhoods, it is very hard to find a place to grab a drink as they are generally located very far. At the same time, this area is very quiet overall, as the streets tend to be very tranquil. Access to parks is sometimes hard in the neighborhood since they aren't well-spread out. Despite that, there are a few green spaces nearby for residents to unwind in.
