Crescent Bend is a neighborhood characterized by a calm and tranquil atmosphere. Quiet streets throughout the area provide a peaceful environment for residents. Housing options include small apartment buildings, single detached homes, and duplexes, mostly built around the mid-1970s. Many homes offer two or three bedrooms, providing comfortable living spaces. Convenient parking availability makes vehicle use straightforward in this neighborhood. Access to education is excellent, with both primary and secondary schools located close by. While not centered around extensive cycling infrastructure, a few bus lines serve the area, ensuring connections to other parts of the city are maintained efficiently.
Driving is often the best method of transportation in this part of the city. It is especially convenient to park. However, traveling by public transit is challenging in Crescent Bend. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighborhood, and bus stops are typically very close by. Traveling as a pedestrian is not especially feasible for home buyers in this part of Bloomington as few common errands can be run without needing to get in a car. The bike is a somewhat poor mode of transportation in Crescent Bend as the bicycling infrastructure is not very extensive, and riding is rendered difficult by the often steep topography. Nevertheless, a fair number of people decide to travel by bicycle.
It is challenging to get to the closest grocery store as a pedestrian in this neighborhood. Likewise, this part of the city is a fairly good place in which to eat out. Regarding education, it is a reasonably short trip to access primary as well as high schools from any location in Crescent Bend.
Crescent Bend offers an unique mix of areas that are both busy and quiet. Even though the ambience is not the liveliest in this part of the city with the nightlife venues in nearby neighborhoods, it is rather difficult to find a place to grab a drink as they are generally located relatively far away. At the same time, this part of Bloomington is great for those who enjoy quiet surroundings, as the streets tend to be very calm.
