However, the public transit service in Cranford is not very frequent. Nonetheless, train stations, including the Cranford and Garwood with access to the Raritan Valley Line, are generally within a short distance from the bulk of residences in the township. There are about 10 bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is generally around the corner.

Furthermore, Cranford is a good place in which to eat out or go to a cafe. Concerning education, primary schools are very easy to reach as a pedestrian from any location in this township. In contrast, it can be difficult to get to high schools from properties for sale in this township. Besides public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools.
Cranford has a character that caters to a fairly diverse group of people. Although the ambience is not the liveliest in this township with its approximately 20 nightlife venues, it is easy to find a place to grab a drink because they are generally located a short distance away. Cranford is very quiet, as there are low levels of noise from traffic. It is very easy to reach green spaces from many locations within the township, since there are over 50 of them close by for residents to enjoy and the majority of homes for sale have a park very close by.
