It is especially convenient to come across a parking spot, and nearby highways, such as I-94, are fairly easy to access from any location in Cottage Grove. Getting around by bicycle is difficult in this part of the Madison metropolitan area as the cycling infrastructure is not especially comprehensive, and there are a good number of hills. Cottage Grove is also not very suitable for pedestrians as most daily needs are challenging to meet without the use of a vehicle.
